Growing up, I always wanted to do something that would make a difference. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy and that sacrifices would be involved, but I followed mentors, motivational authors and speakers, and other successful entrepreneurs to keep me motivated to reach my goals. I started 3 businesses before Nine Toe Five. Invested a ton of time and money, quit my full-time job, and still didn’t get the break I was looking for. During those times where I was feeling hopeless and a failure, I read a book a week, watched YouTube videos, and took classes to stay motivated to keep pushing forward. 

That’s why I created Nine Toe Five. Our brand represents positivity and inspiration to get out of bed every day and achieve your goals. Not every day is going to go as planned, so when you are down, read the quote on our fun socks, and remember why you do what you do. Whether it’s to support your family, graduate with a Master’s Degree, or secure the promotion at your job!

Along the way, I would tell people with similar goals about my business model and they smiled. They loved the idea and were eager to place an order. Within the first month of being in business, we did $1,300 in sales!

I was at the gym the other day, and one of my customers came up to me. He is a 4th-year resident at a local hospital. He attributes his offer for an Interventional Pain Fellowship at a renowned university in the United States to starting his day on a positive note wearing the “Light Your Own Path” socks which helped keep his attitude up all day.
